In the second round of the Rotax Eurochallenge held in Wackersdorf the weather played a very significant role in the result switching from rain to sunshine many times a day.

Dennis Ladegofed, on his Corsa kart, was 10th in the official time trial and after the heats was 16th on the prefinal grid.
With a good start and an excellent drive Ladefoged moves up to 5th, setting the best laptime of the prefinal.
The final was on a wet track but it appeared to be drying out and Ladefoged took the chance and gambled on slick tyres; soon after the start the rain began to fall heavier and heavier and he had no choice but to retire.
